As Term Three drew to a close, our 2022 Year 12 students enjoyed a very memorable and emotional final week. Our 2022 Glennie captains Tanvi and Bella share their experience from this momentous week.

Mother-Daughter Breakfast
The Year 12 Mother-Daughter Breakfast was a lovely event and a heartwarming tribute to the mothers of the Year 12 girls. The mothers and daughters arrived at the Clifford Park racecourse in style – there were even some in matching outfits!

We were greeted by the pleasant warmth of the marquee and much mingling and photo-taking at the gorgeous floral photo spot ensued. A satisfying breakfast was interspersed with emotional, heartfelt and thoughtful speeches by Deputy Principal Mrs Lowry and Year 12 students Charlotte Casey and Holly Gurner.

The highlight of the morning was getting to hand over a rose and a surprise letter to our mothers, telling them how much their motherly support meant to us. The morning was short, but most of all, sweet.

Father-Daughter Bowling
The atmosphere at Bazinga on the Wednesday night of the 14th September was lively and full of excitement. The dynamic duos went all out with their costumes and enjoyment was found by both the girls and their fathers and parental figures throughout spirited games of laser tag and bowling.

Pairs flexed their competitive bowling skills or just looked absolutely hilarious having a go at it in-costume. Either way, every group had a lot of fun and the dads all seemed to enjoy a social night out with their daughters and the other dads.

Formal
Formal was a night to remember for all the right reasons. As a highly anticipated event from pretty much the beginning of highschool, the expectations for the night are always so high and safe to say, the night exceeded our expectations.

Seeing everyone getting all dressed up certainly made us realise how much we’ve grown across our journey at highschool and our final night of term was filled with reminiscing about this journey with the girls we have called sisters for the past six years.

Overall, it was such a special night spent with the people we love, feeling so much love and gratitude in our hearts, and delicious food in our bellies; it could not have been more perfect.
