Building connections

Recently our Glennie Junior Years hosted an interschool games afternoon for the Year 6 students from Glennie, Toowoomba Grammar School and Fairholme.

This social event was developed to encourage the students to interact with their peers whilst participating in a range of physical and team-building activities.

there was great appreciation amongst the students for the new friendships formed and the respectful and positive way in which the students came together.

Replacing some of the more traditional social events, the afternoon was a hit with all of those involved, allowing the students to engage in a more interactive manner.

All of the students approached the day with a positive attitude and engaged in some competitive fun throughout the afternoon. As the afternoon drew to a close, there was great appreciation amongst the students for the new friendships formed and the respectful and positive way in which the students came together.

The team-building and leadership initiatives that our Year 6 girls are participating in at Glennie, will provide a wonderful platform as they prepare for their journey into Middle and Senior Years.
