For many families, the Saturday trip to the local supermarket for the weekly shop is a weekly tradition, but on this occasion visitors to Toowoomba’s Grand Central were gifted to the sweet sounds of our Glennie Girls.
Whilst most girls are enjoying a sleep in, or getting ready for sport on a Saturday morning, our Junior Years choral singers were back into their winter uniforms, and making their way to Grand Central.
With nerves of steel and proudly supported by mum, dad, and grandparents; with younger brothers and sisters in toe, the Glennie girls took center stage.
Over two incredible sets, shoppers were gifted with a selection of choral renditions, duets, and solo performances. From the balcony, locals of all ages stopped to catch a glimpse of this one-off performance.
For close to an hour, our Glennie girls sang, the audience applauded, and Grand Central became Toowoomba’s largest concert hall; at least for today.
Our choral groups have had a busy 2021, with successful performances at the Eisteddfods, Choral Soiree, and Grandparents Day, further demonstrating the confidence and versatility of our youngest performers.
